Help Us Meet Our Urgent Needs

Maryam Girls Arabic College is committed to educating young women in both Islamic and secular studies, but limited resources hinder our mission.

Overcrowded spaces, inadequate facilities, and a lack of essential resources challenge our students’ learning experience.

Support is needed to improve their environment and ensure they receive the education they deserve. May Allah bless all who contribute. Aameen.

Immediate Needs:

  1. Classroom for Hifzh section – Currently, students use the dining hall for lessons.
  • Currently, the 45 students in the Hifz section do not have a dedicated classroom.
  • They are using shared spaces like the dining hall and dormitory for their lessons, which is not an ideal learning environment.
  • A proper classroom is essential for focused learning, maintaining discipline, and improving memorization efficiency.

  1. Bathroom & Toilet Facilities – Insufficient for the growing number of students.
  • At present, there are only 10 toilets and 15 showers for 121 students.
  • With an increasing number of students, this is insufficient, leading to hygiene concerns and long waiting times.
  • More facilities are required to maintain cleanliness, promote health, and ensure comfort for students.

  1. Dormitories – Overcrowded, with 100 students sharing one dormitory.
  • There is only one dormitory for 100 students, making it overcrowded.
  • Students sleep on mats or bedding brought from home, with very little space between them.
  • Expanding dormitory space would provide better living conditions, improve comfort, and enhance students’ well-being.

  1. Cupboards for Students – Existing cupboards are old and worn out.
  • The existing cupboards, made of board material, have been in use for over 15 years.
  • Many of them are broken and have been repeatedly repaired.
  • Sturdy, long-lasting cupboards are needed for students to store their belongings safely and keep the dormitory organized.
Broken-cupboards
  1. Computers – Only one computer is available, limiting IT education.
  • The college has a computer room, but it contains only one computer.
  • To compensate, students share this computer along with the office computer and the instructor’s personal laptop.
  • Last year, only 9 students completed the basic computer course, which took 10 months due to the lack of resources.
  • More computers are needed to improve digital literacy and expand IT education.
  1. Sewing Machines – More machines are needed for skill-based learning.
  • Currently, there are only two sewing machines, which is not enough for the number of students learning tailoring.
  • More machines would allow students to gain practical experience and complete their sewing lessons efficiently.
  • Sewing skills help students develop self-sufficiency and can provide economic opportunities in the future.

This madrasa was established solely for the purpose of spreading knowledge and building an educated community of women with Islamic and other essential knowledge. We serve the community to seek the blessings and acceptance of Almighty Allah.

We pray to Allah to accept our righteous deeds and forgive our sins. May He bless all those who contribute to these good deeds, accept them as Sadaqah Jariyah, grant them prosperity in their wealth, and bless them with good health. Aameen.
